OAK TREE AWARD from ACPTA
The Oak Tree Award is presented by the Austin Council of PTA to
recognize an individual (student, parent, teacher, administrator or
community member) who has contributed in an outstanding manner to the
welfare, well-being, and education of children and youth in AISD.
The
highest award given by the Austin City Council of PTAs, the Oak Tree
Award is a special honor for those who receive it. Thank you for all you
do for our most precious resource...our children.
Oak Tree
Award Nominations
Nominations are made
by sending three letters of recommendation to the Oak Tree Chairman.
Letters will be read by the Oak Tree Committee which is comprised of
members of the ACPTA board. Please
be sure you have a contact person who is responsible for gathering the
letters and who can provide a contact number for notification should
their nominee be chosen.
Presentation of the
Oak Tree Award will be made at ACPTA General Meetings. The winner will
receive the original letters of nomination as well as a certificate and
pin. This should be a surprise to the recipient and the contact person
is responsible for getting the "recipient" to the meeting.
