OAK TREE AWARD from ACPTA

The Oak Tree Award is presented by the Austin Council of PTA to recognize an individual (student, parent, teacher, administrator or community member) who has contributed in an outstanding manner to the welfare, well-being, and education of children and youth in AISD.

The highest award given by the Austin City Council of PTAs, the Oak Tree Award is a special honor for those who receive it. Thank you for all you do for our most precious resource...our children.

Oak Tree Award Nominations

Nominations are made by sending three letters of recommendation to the Oak Tree Chairman. Letters will be read by the Oak Tree Committee which is comprised of members of the ACPTA board. Please be sure you have a contact person who is responsible for gathering the letters and who can provide a contact number for notification should their nominee be chosen.

Presentation of the Oak Tree Award will be made at ACPTA General Meetings. The winner will receive the original letters of nomination as well as a certificate and pin. This should be a surprise to the recipient and the contact person is responsible for getting the "recipient" to the meeting.

For more information call ACPTA at 414-4050.
